Bobbie (Barbara) Heiden Hood Wiles:  

Life I became engaged to Bub Hood (class of 68) the summer I graduated and we were married in Oct. 1970. I was probably the last person my classmates thought would marry that young. I worked as a medical assistant at the Willcox Clinic.Unfortunately Bub died after a car wreck in June 1972. Most people who knew us then did not know that he had received his draft notice 1 week before his accident. I was devastated by that and his death. I would not have missed the 38 months we dated, were engaged, and married for anything. It was probably the most romantic 3 years of my life. I went back to school at Cochise College 2 months after he died and became a registered nurse. I moved to Mesa in 1974 and remarried, Don Wiles in 1976. However Bub's parents remained in my family and both lived to be 86. My family was their primary family. My kids, even though not blood relatives were their grandkids. II still like to return to Willcox and visit, especially Rex Allen Days. My husband Don and I have 2 grown kids , Mike and Amy. Mike and long time girlfiend Hope married in November 2006 and we have 2 ready made granddaughters. Amy is now an MRI tech. She just moved into a new house 2 miles from us. . I have gone back to college off and on and graduated in May 2008 with a master's degree in nursing and am a Family Nurse Practitioner. I now work as a NP doing family practice and cardiology home visits. I changed jobs In 2o16 after 8 years at the same cardiology office. Before that I was an ICU nurse for 34 years, worked for the same company the entire time. I was home for 3 weeks between jobs, proved I am not ready to retire. .Going back to school while in your 50's and working full time is not my recommendation. My husband is retired from the Sheriff's office. He has again retired from Harbor freight and is the house husband and errand guy . We live on horse property outside of...Expand for more
